Dr Amanda Wojtalik-Courter

Amanda Wojtalik‑Courter, DVM

Veterinarian
Since 2001, Dr. Wojtalik‑Courter has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Chattanooga area. She served as president of the HCVMA during the 2005 to 2006 year. Dr. Wojtalik‑Courter graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in zoology. She attended Yale University on an NSF graduate fellowship where she received a Master of Environmental Science in population ecology. She received her DVM from Tufts University in Boston. Dr. Wojtalik‑Courter is happy to be back in Chattanooga and loves to spend time with her family, husband, beloved daughter, and 7 cats. She has an interest in soft tissue surgery and particularly enjoys working with cats.

Mark Brackett, DVM

Veterinarian
Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Brackett was a licensed technician and worked in a mixed animal practice and at the veterinary school at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Brackett holds two bachelor's degrees, one from Cumberland College, KY and one from Lincoln Memorial University. Dr. Brackett obtained his doctorate of veterinary medicine from Tuskegee University in Alabama. Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, Bert and MaGhee.

Dr Stanley

Mary Stanley, DVM

Veterinarian
Dr. Stanley’s dream since she was a small child was always to be a veterinarian for small animals. She has always had numerous pets as part of her life growing up in Chattanooga. Dr. Stanley has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Chattanooga area since 2002. She has served as an officer in the Hamilton County Veterinary Medical Association since 2004 holding positions as the president, vice‑president, and secretary at different times. As an officer of the HCVMA, she became the representative for the Board of the new McKamey Animal Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Tennessee as Knoxville (UT) where she attended via the Tennessee Scholars program and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Stanley received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from UT’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She graduated in the top 5 of her class and was a member of the Phi Zeta honor society. Dr. Stanley enjoys spending time with her friends and family which includes her three dogs, Paco, Latté, and Tito. Dr. Stanley holds a special place in her heart for small breeds of dogs especially Chihuahuas. She holds a special interest in soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology.

Noelle

Hospital Manager
Noelle is the hospital manager at Chattanooga Veterinary Center. She began her career at the center in 2007 as a receptionist. She finds working at a progressive practice with a dedication to superior patient care and customer service to be very rewarding. After spending much time learning about veterinary medicine, she moved to veterinary assistant. She later became the hospital manager in 2011. In her spare time, Noelle enjoys fishing, farming, four‑wheeling, and dirt track racing.

Betsy

Veterinary Technician
Since 2002, Betsy has been involved in the Chattanooga area veterinary community. In 2008, she graduated from the inaugural class of Chattanooga State's Veterinary Technology program and holds a license as a credentialed veterinary technician. Betsy has various experience working in general veterinary practices as well as shelter medicine, emergency, and specialty medicine, and has special interests in surgical and critical care nursing. Outside of work, Betsy enjoys drawing, and attending NASCAR races and concerts with her husband Kevin. The rest of her free time is devoted to her whippet, Valentine, and greyhounds, Cobb and Beaker.

Jennifer

Jennifer is a kennel tech who has been with CVC since April of 2011. She loves attending to the animals that board with us and playing with all the energetic day care groups. Jennifer believes that being able to provide comfort for those pets that are away from their parents is one of the most rewarding opportunities. She has a manifold of pets which include: Oreo and Bogey the shih‑tzus, Mikey the Chihuahua, Kamrin the Border Collie, Bellbell, Groucho, Ruby, Kitten, Black Cat, Mittens, Chip, Highrise, Super, Daisy, and Sam the cats, and Red Eye and Bubba the Guinea Pigs.

Sarah

Lead Receptionist
Sarah began her veterinary career in 2005, driven by a profound passion for client care and a deep compassion for animals. With extensive experience in emergency and specialty veterinary medicine, she has also held various leadership positions throughout her career. Outside of work, Sarah loves cooking, gardening, spending quality time with her fur family and grandchildren, and participating in community engagement.

Aneshia

Aneshia has been a receptionists with CVC since March of 2018. One of the things Aneshia loves about working at CVC is being able to interact with amazing and caring people (both clients and colleagues). She is a strong believer that "if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life". In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer and generally just being active. She has two dogs named Champ and Shadow.

Derek

Derek has been with CVC since June of 2015. He enjoys working at CVC because he likes talking to clients and coworkers. He also loves working with dogs because they are (usually) so happy and excited when they visit! Outside of work, Derek plays volleyball and softball for local leagues. He also loves making pottery on the wheel (also known as throwing pottery). Otherwise, his goal outside of work is to be as lazy as possible! He has one cat named Sophie.

Mellisa

Kennel Manager
Mellisa started with CVC in 2017. Her dedication to creating memorable experiences for our furry guests is unwavering. In her own pet family, she cares for 3 boxer-poodle mixes named Lars, Kip and Nash, along with 5 cats, Thomas, Clay, Daniel, Enzo and Fonzee. She even has two exotic gekkos - Carole and Joe. When Mellisa is not doing outdoor activities like camping, bat echolocating, bird watching and hiking, she is traveling to national gekko competitions for Carole and Joe.

Erica

Veterinary Assistant
Erica has been with CVC since 2022. Being able to advocate for patients who are truly unable to do so themselves motivates her every day. Outside of work Erica enjoys reading, kayaking, cooking, and spending time with her two dogs, Molly and Angel. She also loves playing with Sassy, Guinevere and Sebastian, her cats.

Miranda

Receptionist
Miranda has been with CVC since 2021. She has always wanted to work with animals. She enjoys interacting with the daycare dogs and learning all she can about veterinary medicine. In her spare time she enjoys being with her friends, going to baseball games, and spending time with her husband and 2 dogs, Minnie & Daisy.

KAYLA

Veterinary Assistant
Kayla has been working with animals since 2017. She has been with CVC since 2021. She loves working with animals and considers every day an opportunity to learn something new. Outside of work, she likes to spend time with her family and friends and bowl competitively in leagues. She has a Boston Terrier, one cat and three lizards.

Devin

Veterinary Assistant
Devin has been a veterinary assistant with CVC since 2020 and has worked in the field since 2013.  In her spare time she loves to ride horses, spend time with her son, go to dirt track racing to help her husband race and be outdoors.  She lives on a hobby farm with 2 horses - Baldy & Stick, 2 dogs - Rayburn & Pearl, and 3 cats - Pickles, Rizzo & Nemo.

Allie

Veterinary Assistant
Allie is a veterinary assistant that has been with CVC since March 2020. She enjoys taking care of the animals that come in and making them feel at home. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and is into photography. She has a Golden retriever named Dale.

EDEN

Veterinary Assistant
Eden is a veterinary assistant who has been with CVC since July of 2016. She revels in the opportunity to be able to interact with all of the animals and care for them as her own, especially when they are as excited to see her as she is them! Outside of work, Eden enjoys spending time with her animals and hanging out with her friends. She has 4 dogs named Lucy, Josie, Moxie and Kira. She also has a cat named Rudy.

Grace

Grace has been with CVC as a Kennel Technician since 2018. She enjoys interacting and playing with the pets. Outside of work, Grace likes to hike and bake delicious treats. She has two dogs, Zoey, a Shih Tzu, and Louie, a mixed breed. She also has two Siberian Forest cats, Layla and Blue.

Natalie

Natalie has been bringing joy to our clients and patients since July of 2021. She loves working here because she enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of not only the animals but their owners. Seeing the deep love between pets and their people is what keeps Natalie inspired every day. Outside of work she enjoys kayaking, playing with plants, competitive axe throwing and spending time with her four dogs Josie, Guinness, Olive, and Goku, and her two cats Emmylou and Gram.
